Author and influencer Alice Hart-Davis recently underwent a radio frequency wrinkle reduction treatment using our DiamondPolar™ applicator on the Venus Versa™ multi-application medical aesthetic device. The treatment was documented in a video as well as in her blog, Tweak of the Week. The treatment was performed by skin care expert Teresa Tarmey, who explains the benefits of the technology.
“It’s a good option for people who don’t want anything invasive, or to have any injectables,” explains Tarmey, adding, “Also, you can focus treatment on the areas of the face where it is needed.”.
Hart-Davis, who also wrote the book The Tweakments Guide: Fresher Face, had this to say about how she felt after the treatment: “When she sits me up at the end of the treatment, I can see the lift** that she has managed to generate in just half an hour. My cheekbones look better defined, as does my jawline. My face is a bit pink immediately after the treatment from the heat, but that calms down within an hour, leaving me with a healthy glow.”
The DiamondPolar™ applicator is designed for smaller treatment areas such as the face, jowls, and arms. In addition to Venus Versa™, it is also available on several of our other medical and aesthetic devices, including Venus Legacy™* and Venus Versa™*. The applicator is powered by Venus Concept’s proprietary (MP)2 technology, a synergistic combination of Multi-Polar Radio Frequency and Pulsed Electro Magnetic Fields.
Radio frequency works to effectively heat and directly stimulate fibroblasts, while PEMF is known to promote angiogenesis and induce fibroblast proliferation through release of the growth factor FGF-2, resulting in increased collagen synthesis. Together as (MP)2, the two technologies work to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, providing an effective solution for one of the top aesthetic concerns for patients.
