How to Advertise Post-Travel Treatments to Your Patients

How to Advertise Post-Travel Treatments to Your Patients

Despite recent events, the travel industry is slowly but surely on its way to making a recovery. This means that your patients get to start taking vacations again, which is an opportunity for your clinic to cater to their post-trip needs. Traveling is wonderful, but it can also be stressful, and sometimes it takes a while to feel normal again after a trip. Aesthetic treatments can address these concerns and should be viewed as an essential follow-up to any vacation or business trip. Read on to discover which treatment to offer your clients after they travel.

Problem: Dehydration

Travelers are especially prone to dehydration during transit. The atmosphere on an airplane only has 5-20% humidity, which is much lower than the average home of 30%. This can result in dry skin, which in turn makes lines and wrinkles look more pronounced, as well as sagging skin.

Solution: Venus Glow™ & Venus Legacy™

Venus Glow™ treatments deep-clean and treat pores, delivering hydration to the subcutaneous layers where it’s most needed. The device will also help remove the buildup of dirt, oils, makeup, and dead skin cells that can accumulate on a vacation, refreshing the skin from deep down for a more hydrated, glowing complexion. As dehydration tends to make fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin more evident, Venus Legacy™ treatments use Multi-Polar Radio Frequency to boost collagen and elastin production for firmer, smoother skin.

Problem: Sun Damage

Despite their best efforts to wear sunscreen regularly, your patients might return from their vacation with some level of sun damage if they’ve traveled south. You may want to warn them about the increase in risk before they leave, as many are unaware that the closer they venture to the equator, the higher the risk of too much sun exposure. Catching sun damage early is important for reversing the signs of premature aging it causes, and also for reducing their risk of cancer.

Solution: Venus Versa™ Photorejuvenation Treatments

Sun damage manifests in the skin as sun spots, hyperpigmentation, wrinkles, and sagging skin—people seeing signs of premature aging in the mirror may in fact be experiencing photoaging.  Venus Versa™ photorejuvenation treatments use Intense Pulsed Light technology to rejuvenate skin by reinvigorating the skin’s natural production of collagen and elastin. The treatments resolve sun damage, slow down the appearance of aging, and restore skin to a brighter, healthier state.

Problem: Weight Gain

Vacations are for indulgence, and it’s very common to come back from a trip with a bit of extra weight around the midsection. Also, the sedentary nature of most travel activities, like sitting on a plane or lounging by a pool, contribute to water retention and a slower metabolism. Most people would prefer to return from a trip looking better than when they left, a goal that they can achieve by visiting your clinic.

Solution: Venus Bliss™ Non-Invasive Lipolysis Treatments

Powered by diode laser technology, the Venus Bliss™ non-invasive lipolysis machine reduces fat from target areas comfortably and effectively. The device comes equipped with an (MP)2 applicator that combines Multi-Polar Radio Frequency and Pulsed Electro Magnetic Fields with advanced VariPulse™ technology to tighten skin*, further reduce circumference, and reduce cellulite for a smoother, more contoured appearance.

Problem: Skin Issues

Nothing shakes up routine the way travel does, and this can have a deleterious effect on the skin. Acne and breakouts can happen due to a change in environment, diet, and activity, and sometimes the reaction will last long after the trip is over. Getting back to a daily skin care routine right away will help, and an aesthetic treatment will speed up recovery.

Solution: Venus Versa™ Acne Treatments

Venus Versa acne treatments use Intense Pulsed Light technology to heal existing acne-related inflammation while destroying acne-causing bacteria throughout the layers of the skin. The treatments also help to minimize future breakouts and protect against scarring for a smooth, blemish-free complexion.

How To Market Post-Travel Treatments To Patients

Combo Treatments. Combo treatments are designed to address a number of issues in one treatment, making them an effective and affordable way for your patients to look and feel better quickly after traveling. After an expensive vacation, they may not want to splurge on several treatments so soon, or they may want to look and feel better fast, with no downtime. Venus Concept combo treatments include TriBella™ and Trim & Tite™. Tribella™ treatments combine a photofacial, skin tightening, and anti-aging treatment in one. Trim & Tite™ treatments deliver fat reduction and skin tightening all in one session. Your clients may want to try one or both of these powerful options to return to their pre-travel radiance.

Packages. As a marketing tool, packages are perceived a lot more valuable than single services and have the added benefit of introducing customers to services they may have not tried before. Designing and advertising packages during the holiday season and other popular times for travel is an effective way to bring new and returning clients into your clinic for their post-travel aesthetic needs.

Partnerships. In addition to your post-travel patients, think about the people who are visiting your area for a vacation. They’ve just gotten off a long plane ride as well, and they may want to treat themselves to an aesthetic treatment while they’re away from home. To reach the traveler demographic, consider partnering with a local hotel, resort, or bed and breakfast and marketing your services there. When it comes to partnership, the importance is to use your creativity to find a mutually beneficial arrangement for both businesses, while adding value for the client.

We’re sure that with the above strategies, your clients will look to you as the answer to all their post-travel woes. To learn more about the devices mentioned, reach out to speak to one of our experts today.
